Why this drill works

Prevents the body from stalling by squaring the face early. The wrist bow shallows the shaft, while the forearm rotation squares the face, allowing the player to rotate fully through the shot without blocking or flipping.

How to do it

  1. 1

Shallow the club early by bowing (flattening) the lead wrist.

  2. 2

Simultaneously turn the forearms to the left (like turning a doorknob or throwing a frisbee) to square the face.

  3. 3

Perform 10-30 practice swings brushing the turf.

  4. 4

Hit shots aiming for a low, penetrating flight.
