The Match-Up Drill (Torso/Hip Sync)
Drill by Me and My Golf

Why this drill works
Visually verifies that the torso rotation is happening on the correct tilted axis (perpendicular to the spine), rather than a flat, baseball-like swing. This syncs the upper body's turn with the club's plane.
How to do it
- 1
Place one club 90 degrees to the target line on the ground (use a ball under the heel for irons).
- 2
Hold a second club across your shoulders and assume your golf posture.
- 3
Rotate your body ensuring the club across your shoulders matches up with the club on the ground.
- 4
Ensure the club on your shoulders points down towards the ground, not upwards.
