Why this drill works

Provides instant feedback on the body's rotation (or lack thereof) in the first half of the backswing. Encourages the body to turn more in sync with the arms, preventing a hands-only start to the swing.

How to do it

  1. 1

Swing back halfway and stop (when lead arm is parallel to the ground).

  2. 2

Feel the amount of rotation achieved by your body.

  3. 3

Hit the shot immediately with that same feeling of rotation in mind.
