Why this drill works

Isolates the trail arm's role in squaring the face. By fixing the lead arm, you prevent the body from dragging the handle forward (holding the face open) and force the natural release of the clubhead.

How to do it

    Setup as if hitting a driver, ensuring a strong grip orientation.

  2. 2

    Extend your lead arm straight out in front of you at chest height and hold it there.

  3. 3

    Hold the club in your trail hand only.

  4. 4

    Make practice swings with the trail hand, keeping the lead arm stationary.

  5. 5

    Focus on feeling the clubhead 'turn over' or release past your lead arm through impact.
